Technology Intern (Summer) — Tempe, AZ

Guadalupe, United States

Mint Cannabis is hiring its first cohort of Technology Interns — a paid, mentored, 12-week summer program where early-career computer-science students ship real, reviewed code into the platform thousands of customers use every day. This is not a sandbox course: by the end, you will have merged code to a real branch, deployed it with a mentor's sign-off, and presented a capstone to the team.

What you'll do

Over 12 weeks you'll work through six phases in our actual stack — an Astro / Tailwind website on Cloudflare, an Odoo 19 ERP, the Dutchie point-of-sale integration, a Redis inventory service, and Railway / Kubernetes infrastructure:

  • Foundations — dev environment, Git & team workflow, how the web works, the full stack map.
  • Frontend — build styled, responsive components in Astro & Tailwind and wire them to live data.
  • Backend / Odoo — models, fields and views; multi-company data; reading and writing via XML-RPC.
  • Integrations & Data — the Dutchie POS integration, the inventory service, and data pipelines.
  • DevOps & Infra — how code reaches production safely on Cloudflare and Railway; logs and monitoring.
  • Capstone — take a real feature from spec to shipped, then demo it to the team.

What we're looking for

  • Early CS students (sophomore / junior level) comfortable with basic Python or JavaScript.
  • Familiar with variables, functions, loops and basic data structures; have used a terminal a little; have heard of Git.
  • No prior experience with web frameworks, databases, cloud, or ERP required — we teach all of it.
  • Curious, communicative, and coachable. We care more about how you work and learn than how much you already know.

Details

  • Term: 12-week summer program (~30–40 hours/week).
  • Location: Tempe, Arizona.
  • Academic credit: built to align with university internship standards, with mentor supervision and a structured evaluation, so the work can count toward college credit.
  • Mentorship: a dedicated engineer mentor, daily stand-ups, and weekly 1:1s.
  • Eligibility: must be 21 or older (cannabis-industry requirement).

Full program details, the week-by-week syllabus, and the curriculum overview are at letsgomint.us/internship.
